Forest Karma Soap & Shampoo

We now have on offer 6 types of soap from Forest Karma, made with tallow from Alprilla Farm!  All Forest Karma’s soaps are exceptionally moisturizing and mild, with a long-lasting generous lather and minimalist eco-friendly packaging.  The bars we offer here are being produced as part of Forest Karma’s Sustainable Soap Initiative, which seeks to make use of local fats and oils as an alternative to tropical oils.  One of last year’s successes was a bar called Massachusetts Tallow No. 5—it lathers beautifully and holds up well to the non-stop hand washing that has became de rigueur in these pandemic times.  This year was devoted to experimentation with oilseeds that we can potentially grow and process into oil here in New England, such as flax seed, pumpkin seed and hazelnut.  With that in mind, we are pleased to offer the following:

Mass Tallow & Flax 2-Pack ($19)

2 Bars of Soap 

•Massachusetts Tallow Soap – with tallow, organic oils (olive, coconut and castor) and a Dream Team of antibacterial essential oils.

•Essential Flax Soap – an unscented bar (no essential oils added), with organic cold-pressed flax oil & flax seeds, tallow, local non-GMO sunflower oil and other organic oils (extra virgin olive, coconut).

Mass Tallow & Pumpkin 2-Pack ($20)

2 Bars of Soap:

•Massachusetts Tallow Soap – with tallow, organic oils (olive, coconut and castor) and a Dream Team of antibacterial essential oils.

•Cocoa Pumpkin Spice Soap – a true luxury bar, with cold-pressed pumpkin seed oil, tallow, local non-GMO sunflower oil and other organic oils (extra virgin olive, coconut).  This bar was inspired by Taza Chocolate’s Cocoa Pumpkin Spice bar and is deliciously scented with an essential oil blend of classic spices plus cocoa absolute and vanilla absolute.  Yum.
